Earlobe reconstruction starts with a consultation and a local anaesthetic to numb the area. Our cosmetic physician will then reshape the ear by removing any excess tissue and scar, restoring the earlobe to its natural shape. The technique we use depends on how severe the damage is. The procedure usually lasts between 30 to 45 minutes.

Scarring is usually minimal and fades over time. If any scarring remains, we offer laser treatments to help reduce it. Our cosmetic physicians will discuss this with you during your consultation.
Most people recover quickly from earlobe repair and can return to daily activities immediately. You may feel mild pain for a day or so after the procedure, but it usually passes quickly. Avoid exercise on the day of the procedure, but you can resume normal activities the next day.
You will have a small dressing applied after the procedure, which can be removed after one day. Showering is allowed after 24 hours, but avoid soaking the area for three days after the sutures are removed. We recommend applying an antibiotic ointment to the area three times a day for two weeks to promote healing and prevent infection.
Earlobe repair is a safe procedure with minimal risks. However, as with any surgery, there are potential risks such as infection, scarring, and haematoma (bruising). We will discuss any specific risks with you before the procedure.
