About Filler Correction and Reversal

Have you had a dermal filler treatment that didn’t go as planned? Are you feeling uneasy about your results when you look in the mirror? If you want to reverse your filler, we can help.
You’re not alone.
At Dr Ali Cosmetics, we are experts in dermal filler reversal in Australia. Our team of experienced doctors uses safe and effective techniques to fix poorly injected fillers. We use Hyalase, an injectable enzyme, to reverse the filler quickly and safely.
The reversal process is usually painless, thanks to our special mix of local anaesthetic.
Once the filler is reversed, you can return for a new treatment 1-2 weeks later, depending on the area being treated.
The cost for reversing dermal filler is $650.

Dr Ali Cosmetics

Poorly Injected Dermal Filler

Unfortunately, bad filler jobs are not uncommon.
We often see patients unhappy with their results due to poor cosmetic outcomes or medical complications.
At Dr Ali Cosmetics, we’ll guide you through the correction process and create a personalised plan to help you achieve the look you want in a safe, professional setting.
Sometimes, we don’t need to completely reverse the filler. For small lumps or superficial filler issues, we use a technique called ‘Micro-Hyalase’ to fix the problem while leaving the filler underneath intact.

Pricing:
Consultations with our cosmetic doctors and nurses are free and with no obligation. During this visit, we’ll explain your reversal plan and the timeline for any follow-up treatments.
Hyalase may cause some swelling. To help speed up recovery and reduce swelling, we offer a complimentary LED light therapy session after your reversal.
All follow-up appointments are free.

Dermal Filler Migration

Why does dermal filler migrate?
Filler migration most commonly happens in the lips but can occur anywhere. It can cause a duck-like appearance, especially when filler spreads towards the nose. This can happen for several reasons:

  • Poor injection technique
  • Too much filler placed too quickly
  • Using the wrong type of filler that draws too much water to the area
  • Permanent fillers (no longer commonly used)
  • Incorrect use of techniques like the Russian lips method, which can cause filler to spread.

Quick answers to questions you may have

Hyalase works by breaking down the bonds between dermal filler molecules. The body then naturally removes the by-products.

It works immediately, though swelling can last 2-3 days. All swelling should be gone in two weeks, and you can safely have new filler injected at that point.

We recommend waiting two weeks after Hyalase treatment before getting new filler to allow for full recovery.

It can be painful if the mixture isn’t prepared correctly. At Dr Ali Cosmetics, we use a special mix of local anaesthetic to ensure it’s as comfortable as possible.

This depends on the amount of filler to be reversed and the thickness of the filler. Our doctors will determine the amount needed during your consultation.

Hyalase will only reverse the artificial filler, not your skin’s natural hyaluronic acid. If any natural hyaluronic acid is affected, your body will naturally restore it over time.
